Women's Health at Montefiore

Our Team

Our multidisciplinary team of specialists includes board certified reproductive endocrinologists, urologists, embryologists, psychologists, nurses and a full support staff.

Erkan Buyuk, MD is an attending physician in the Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility and Director of the Ovum Sperm Donor Program at the Institute for Reproductive Medicine and Health Center for Fertility Preservation. Dr. Buyuk is the associate director of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility Fellowship. He is an assistant professor in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology and Women's Health at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Buyuk is Board Certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology and Board eligible in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. His areas of expertise are Fertility Preservation, Ovarian Cryopreservation, Transplantation and Ovarian Aging and Diminished Ovarian Reserve. He is fluent in Turkish, French and medical Spanish.

Judi Chervenak, MD is an assistant professor of the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology and Women's Health, Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.  She is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Chervenak is a part-time physician with Montefiore's Institute for Reproductive Medicine and Health.    
 
Brian L. Cohen, MD is a professor and director of education, Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology and Women's Health, Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology, Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynecology in England.
 
Ruth G. Freeman, MD is an endocrinologist and a professor of Medicine and Obstetrics & Gynecology and Women's Health at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.  She is the director of the Menopause Research and Treatment Center of the Bone Densitometry Unit at Women's Health at Montefiore.  Dr. Freeman is board certified in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology.  She sees patients who have endocrine (hormonal) problems, infertility and osteoporosis in the Bronx office.

Edward H. Illions, MD is an assistant professor of the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology and Women's Health, Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.  Dr. Illions is a board certified Reproductive Endocrinologist.
 
Harry J. Lieman, MD is the medical director of Montefiore's Institute for Reproductive Medicine and Health and assistant professor of the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology and Women's Health, Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.  Dr. Lieman is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. 

Genevieve Neal-Perry MD, PhD is an assistant professor of the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology and Women's Health, Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at theAlbert Einstein College of Medicine. She is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Reproductive Endocrinology. Dr. Neal-Perry specializes in reproductive aging and fertility.
  
Staci E. Pollack, MD is an assistant professor of the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology and Women's Health, Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.  She is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology  and Reproductive Endocrinology.  Dr. Pollack specializes in pediatric and adolescent endocrinology. 

Christina R. Veit, MD is an assistant clinical professor of the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology and Women's Health, Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.  She is medical director of the ovum-sperm donation program at Montefiore's Institute of Reproductive Medicine and Health, Dr. Veit is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
 
Sangita Jindal, PhD is the IVF laboratory director and embryologist for Montefiore's Institute for Reproductive Medicine and Health.  She is an assistant professor at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Women's Health.  Dr. Jindal has earned a Ph.D in Reproductive Physiology from the University of Toronto and a special license of High Complexity Lab Director (HCLD) from the American Board of Bioanalysis.   
 
Kris Bevilacqua, PhD is a part-time clinical psychologist for Montefiore's Institute for Reproductive Medicine & Health. Dr. Bevilacqua studied at the Pratt Institute and obtained her doctorate in clinical psychology from the New School for Social Research. Her postgraduate training includes nine years of research with the patients at Montefiore's Institute for Reproductive Medicine & Health and working with the Anxiety Unit at New York State Psychiatric Institute.

As a mother of twins who were born from donor eggs, she is able to provide her patients with a comforting and sincere sense of assurance and understanding.
