ADVANCE for Nurses newsmagazine announced Montefiore Medical Center is among the select "top hospitals" in the magazine's second annual Readers' Choice survey for the Greater New York/New Jersey Metro Area.
Voting was open to RNs who ranked hospitals in areas that matter to nurses: quality of care, organizational culture, professional development, communication and retention efforts. Montefiore Medical Center attained the Honor Roll, scoring 4 or greater in all five categories.
ADVANCE provided a list of nearly 291 in the Greater New York/New Jersey Metro region and invited readers to rank their facility by responding on a 1-5 scale to 10 statements in five different categories. From this list, participants voted on 76 different hospitals. Nurses from across the Greater New York/New Jersey Metro Area voted in the poll on the ADVANCE for Nurses Web site. The Readers' Choice results were featured in the Oct. 13, 2008 issue.
ADVANCE for Nurses, a biweekly magazine, presents articles and features for registered nurses of all specialties. The Greater New York/New Jersey Metro Area edition reaches 125,000 RNs.
